In September, I will be walking The Great Wall of China.This trek  involves climbing literally thousands of steps, walking along rough terrain and up and down steep, stony and slippery paths. Its not a challenge for those with a fear of heights! Our 7 day trek will be quite demanding as some sections have been renovated, some have not, and the paths wind their way up and down the mountains. There is going to be more than a little thigh burn involved!!

We are doing this to raise as much money as we can to support The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), one of the world’s most influential cancer research institutes. ICR's mission is to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.Through their unique partnership with The Royal Marsden Hospital and bench-to-bedside approach, they are able to create and deliver results in a way other institutions cannot. Together the two organisations are rated in the top four cancer centres globally. They are committed to carrying out research which leads to the relief of human suffering from cancer.

Please help us to raise money to fight cancer. I have lost both my mother and father-in-law to this disease and I know many of you will have been affected in some way too.
