Story

We did it!

Rucksacks and all, we successfully completed our trek of Hadrian’s Wall which took us from Wallsend in to Bowness-on-Solway near . We racked up just over 100 gruelling miles in our 6 days of walking, despite Chris suffering a bad Achilles and the meanest blisters ever seen (even with several layers of compeed). With rucksacks weighing a hefty 15 Kilos each it was tough going, but once we mastered the art of getting over the stiles without getting stuck or falling off (thanks to our rucksacks), we made great progress, and were rewarded with fantastic views.

ut as you know we wouldn’t have put ourselves through all of that just for fun. Despite the continuing hard work and dedication of its volunteers, our branch of Samaritans (, Haringey and Barnet, ) urgently needs funds to keep its doors open and phone lines running to enable it to continue providing confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide.

We would like to thank everyone who has already generously donated to our cause and made our pain worth while, but if anyone else would like to make a donation, however small we would be incredibly grateful.

Thank you for your time and support,

Chris and Jude
