Story
My ride is now done. I climbed all three mountains in the three week and one extra weekend window I gave myself. My bike and I did not quite get the full distance mostly due to fatigue of myself and the bike combined. But I did cycle my heavy loaded bike an approximate very hilly 1600km over 13 days, spent 3 days walking up mountains, I had two days of stressing out running around trying to organise my bike being fixed after I wore it out
The trip was amazing and I met some very nice people along the way
My 3 Weeks Solo Renewable Energy Bikepacking Ride For Charity. Leaving from Hampstead Norreys Berkshire June 19th 2021. First travailing to and over Scarfel Pike then Ben Nevis, following google maps on cycle setting. Then I will head North East out of Fort William to pick up The GB Divided a predominantly off road cycle route, riding The GB Divide south to Bristol making a detour over Snowdon. From Bristol to Avebury and finally The Ridgaway all the way Home. I will have traveled over 2000km
I will be trying to wild camp and only use renewable energy all the way. I have a Solar charger power bank and a biomass cooker.
If you see me pleas say hello, I will probably be lonely.
