One of the proudest parts of my life is being a Samaritan volunteer and be part of an incredible community of people who are there to listen 24 hours a day, 365 days a year so that people don't have to be alone with their feelings. This is my 3rd Samarathon so my challenge this year will be to walk 100 miles in July for my branch in Edinburgh.

Samaritans can be there for anyone, whatever they are going through and whenever they are struggling to cope. They are also at the heart of local communities, working with schools, workplaces, railways, prisons and hospitals to offer training and support, preventing suicide and helping people turn their lives around.
