Newly retired, Andy & Chris have decided to put their spare time to good use and challenge themselves with a little jaunt to Greece. However not by aeroplane.... but by bike (the pedalling kind of course). Leaving on 1st June they hope to arrive in Athens (with more hair on their faces than on their heads) sometime in August dependent on the amount of beer consumed en-route. Athens by bike is over 3000 miles away and will take around 8/9 weeks to complete. The bikes are packed with tents and stoves although Chris is more 5* hotels these days. They will be visiting 13 countries along the way and cycling around 360 miles a week.

At the same time, they are raising money for children and young people’s mental health so we have chosen Tameside, Oldham & Glossop Mind. Any donations would be gratefully received and we will just see how much we can raise for this charity that does so much good work in the community to support children and young people’s mental health locally.
