In memory of a very special baby boy 🌻
Six weeks ago, a good friend of ours and his family celebrated the arrival of their baby boy.
All seemed fine, but just 2 days later, he was transferred to Great Ormond Street hospital and was diagnosed with an incurable heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.
He had his first minor operation to prepare him for his major procedure and at first all appeared to have gone well. Unfortunately, he then suffered setback after setback. Despite the doctors and nurse's best efforts and his fighting spirit, his parents were given the heartbreaking news, that there was nothing more they could do for him and he was transferred to a children's hospice, where his family made the most of their precious time with him.
He passed away peacefully in his parent's arms on the 9th August 2018. There is nothing any of us can say to help them with their grief, but as a way of saying thank you to the incredible staff at GOSH, who managed to give him 5 extra weeks, 4 of their friends (Kelly, Wendy, Dan and Matt) are doing a skydive on Wednesday 26th September 2018 to hopefully raise £2,500 for this place that his Dad calls "the best worst place in the world."
