A massive thank you for visiting my Just Giving page and supporting CLIC Sargent to help so many children with cancer and their families. Facing the unimaginable news that a child has cancer is something I hope most of us will never have to face and both the emotional and financial impact of that news can never be underestimated.
A few years ago, aged 15, my beautiful niece Isabella, was diagnosed with cancer just months before her GCSEs. The news was devastating to me as an Auntie so I cannot imagine how her parents felt. She bravely battled chemo, kept her spirits up and CLIC Sargent nurses were there for her when at her most poorly. She went to her prom in the middle of chemo and danced with her friends (just briefly)
...And the best bit, Isabella beat it, she's at college, celebrated her 18th with a big party, just been on her first girls holiday to Tenerife (God help Tenerife !!) and has celebrated her 2 year 'Chemoversary'
Thanks CLIC Sargent, you deserve all the funds you can get.
I just wish 26.2 miles was as easy as chucking an ice buket over my head !
