Animals Asia West Yorkshire Group were due to hold our first Vegan Fair on Sunday 19th July 2020 Hebden Bridge with many stalls already signed up and enthusiastic, when Covid hit. As a result this was cancelled, but we are now hoping to raise funds by hosting a Virtual Vegan Fair for Moon Bear Day on the 8th August 2020. 

Animals Asia works to end the bear bile trade, which sees over 10,000 bears mainly moon bears but also sun bears and brown bears kept on bile farms across Asia. They have rescued more than 600 bears from the industry since it was established.

After years of cooperation, Animals Asia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vietnam Government to completely End Bear Bile Farming in Vietnam by 2022. This includes rescuing and rehoming approximately 500 bears that remain on farms in Vietnam, where bear bile farming is illegal.

Animals Asia also work to end the dog & cat meat trade in these countries while promoting good companion animal welfare. Finally they campaign to end the abusive animal practices taking place in zoos, safari parks and entertainment facilities across Asia.
