Story
Hi Everyone!
I am so excited to be joining the ALS Association Golden West Chapter to run the LA Marathon in 2018.
Some of you may not know, but my grandpa, Adam Barraza, fought hard and lost the fight to ALS back in 2007. He was where I get my love for a good laugh and loyalty to family. He was the world's biggest cheerleader for his family and friends and I know he would be standing at the finish line if he was still here. He taught me to chase my dreams no matter how crazy they seem to the world. He was a hard working, dedicated and amazing man and I am honored to be running in his honor.
My fundraising goal is in honor of his love for slot machines. I felt a triple 7 was fitting!
Thank you for helping me reach my goal to donate to the ALS Association. They help families struggling with this awful disease by providing support groups, resources and more. They really are a great organization and they were there for my grandpa, grandma and family when we needed it. I will forever be grateful to this association for what they did and how they strive to find a cure.
If you would like to stay updated or join us in LA on March 18, I would be happy to see you there either running or at the finish line!
