Update 27th June 2022

So glad to say that on Saturday 25th June, we finally made it at last! This was a lovely walk-a real pilgrimage feel to it. Big thanks to the Derian Team for organising it, to Michael Wilson for leading it, and to the team of support guides (https://www.guideoversands.co.uk) that kept us all safe. And of course, a great big THANK YOU for all the donations you have made.  Derian House would not be the same without the amazing people that donate so generously; every penny counts.  The page will stay open a little longer as I know there are a few more promised donations.  

Update June 2022.

Those of you that have followed this story will know that we never actually made the planned walk in 2019, due to the bad weather, date clashes, and believe it or not, bloomin’ COVID! However, the walk is back on and we are finally hoping to complete it on Saturday 25th June 2022.  I know some of you donated years ago, but it’s still a great cause and every penny raised goes to enhance the lives of some very special children and their families.  If you can possibly donate, or donate again, please do - it will be so very much appreciated.

August 2019

Unfortunately, this event was cancelled due to the bad weather, but will be re-scheduled and we still intend to complete it and earn those donations - please keep them coming!  In the mean time, we still enjoyed a very damp walk around the coast from Arnside back to Silverdale, and rounded off the day with an excellent curry.  We've had a great weekend, and look forward to doing it all again soon, but taking the original route for the walk!
