A trek through the Sahara will enable me to give something back to a society that gives me the ability to eat, to drink and clothe me.

It allows me to understand what it was like for Our Lord to go into the desert although I won't (hopefully) be fasting for 40 days and nights.It wont be easy,  however the life of the villagers isn't either. They have no choice they need water to survive so they don't complain they just get on with it.

I am giving my time to enable one village the joy of fresh water which is essence is 'life' to them and to us. As a Christian it makes sense to me to 'treat others as I expect to be treated'. I have water so shall they.
