I've always wanted to do the GNR, so I thought the time was now right and to do this in aid of my beautiful sister Nicola 💞. 

When she was here she would always say "do it" well now I am for real !!!! No matter how long it takes, I'll do my best to get to the finishing line ::) (hope she's with me every step of the way😉)

I want to raise awareness as I've nursed many patients throughout my career with mental health problems and I've been touched by so many.

 I have also helped my nearest and dearest friends/ family though their difficult times. I have personally experienced this myself throughout my lifetime and I've been fortunate enough to have the support to get me through it. 

It is important for us all to recognise that mental health illness can happen to any of us. In fact, it affects 1in 4 of us throughout our lifetimes. This is why it is so important to understand and support those who are suffering. 

Mental health issues are not something that just happen to other people...  It could happen to YOU, friends, family or colleagues. 

It will be an honour to run and raise money for such a valuable charity. 

I would love people to be proud, be loud and most of all be YOU. Let's help make people aware of this.
