For 2015 I`m aiming to cycle to work every day for the whole year doing a total of around 2700 miles. taking weekends and holidays into account thats approx 12 miles a day. Not much of a challenge you may say but considering I live 2 miles from work and the easiest thing for me to do on a cold wet windy morn is to take the short route or get in the car then the challenge is real, in addition the cycle I will be using is a mountain bike (its the only bike I have) also consider the daily morning route up and over crown point down Bacup / Burnley road dropping down into Cliveger and up Mount Lane, no easy route I can tell you, your welcome to join me !

Now to the charity of choice.....Pendleside Hospice

A few years ago Aircelle asked the employees which charity they would like the company to support for that particular year and asked them to give a brief reason why they chose the charity they did. I was privileged enough at the time to be part of the team that reviewed the responses and the overwhelming majority was for Pendleside Hospice and the comments and reasons for the selection were heart breaking, people had lost very close family members and experienced first-hand the care that the hospice provided, the experiences brought me to tears, something I will never forget. In addition, just weeks before xmas 2014 a work colleague related to me how one of their friends, a young man around the age of 30 was being cared for by the hospice, sadly he lost his life before xmas, very sad. If I can raise a little money while cycling then that would be fantastic.

The challenge will start on 5^th January 2015 and end on December 18^th 2015
