Story
Hi all! I'm going to be riding the RideLondon-Essex 100 miler on Sunday 29 May for Shelter. It's going to be a nice gruelling challenge that goes through the familiar roads and towns of Essex I grew up in. Going to Chelmsford has never been so exciting.
With rising costs of living and homelessness rife across the UK, Shelter are the country's leading charity for fighting homelessness and defending the human right to a safe home. It's estimated that 227,000 people are homeless across the UK, and one in 53 people are now homeless in London. Those stats are not only deplorable but absolutely heartbreaking.
Shelter are absolutely key in helping the people who need it most in the UK, through local and legal support to nationally campaigning for housing justice. There really couldn't be a cause I could be more happy to be raising money for.
I'd really appreciate anything you could spare to support me and Shelter. On here I'll be posting updates of how training and fundraising is going. I love a good cycle and have never hit the 100 mile mark before, but you can only go round Richmond Park so many times before it gets pretty boring...
I'd also love to see any family and friends on the big day out supporting! Further details on the event will be out soon.
Thanks all, and throw me a message if you've got any questions.
