Story

So, here I am again, planning to run the London Marathon for a second time. It's made me think of film sequels and I am hoping it's not going to be like Speed 2, Greece 2  or Jaws 2.  But more inspired by the Godfather part 2.

But in fairness I am a year older, a stone heavier so chances are it's very much inspired by Lethal Weapon's Danny Glover who says he's getting too old for this stuff.

So why put myself through this, which already has included running 5 miles in the snow (photo evidence available on request!).  Well it's because Ambitious about Autism is a pretty special charity.  Founded in 1997, it's a dedicated school and college for children and young people with autism.  It also lobbies hard to make education and life in general fairer for young people with autism and their families.  I run past the school in Muswell Hill on most of my runs so I'm continually reminded of the amazing support they provide to children  who otherwise would not get a fair education.

So please lend your support by sponsoring me to run the London Marathon.  Embarrassing photos, sweaty hugs and marathon bore conversations await you all...
