The British Horse Society was founded in 1947, and have grown over the past 70 years to become the largest and most influential equestrian charity in the UK with over 108,000 members.  They aim to protect and promote the interests of all horses and those who care about them, including the 3.5 million people in the UK who ride or who drive a horse-drawn carriage

My Story:

Growing up I enjoyed an idyllic childhood in rural Essex with ponies
thanks to my generous and supportive parents where I competed in cross country, show jumping and dressage events with varying degrees of success, along with many blissful summers at Pony Club camp.

Having spent a 20 year break from riding and racing I was fortunate to get back in the saddle at the brilliant Zoe Davison's yard and have also gained experience with Gary Moore and Luke Dace.  I took part in the Magnolia Cup at Goodwood in August, which was the ultimate dream come true!  I continue to ride at Gary Moore’s yard every weekend, his family and team have been so welcoming, and I treasure my time spent at the yard and with the horses. It is a vital tonic after a week of commuting to London and office life.  Getting back into horse riding and racing and all the people I have met along the way has enriched my life in a way I never thought possible and I am thrilled to be taking part in the race at Newbury and raising money for The British Horse Society.
