I am embarking on a 6 day trek covering 60 miles with my awesome buddies Katie AT, Erica, Carole and Kerry O because we love ridiculous adventures. 

As you know I love a good challenge but what originally sounded like a nice holiday in Iceland has emerged to be really bloody hard! We will be carrying all our luggage (18kg) for 6 days -  all food (strict rations), tents, clothes, drinking water and waterproofs over tough volcanic terrain with river crossings that can be waist high! Having looked at the weather forecast it is most likely we will be battling with rain and cold Icelandic winds for the 6 days too! Joy!! 

This is a toughie that's for sure....so thought why not raise some money at the same time for the awesome Grand Appeal charity. I have been working at the Grand Appeal for the last year and a half and am continuously amazed and inspired by the many strong and incredible families (including close friends) I meet every day who are so thankful for the amazing work Bristol Children's Hospital does and who go on to raise money to help other poorly children there that I would like to do my bit too!

We have organised (we have a map and booked a flight...) and funded the whole trip ourselves so every penny raised will go straight to charity - even a 50p donation will make me really happy and keep me smiling on those long, rainy, blistery, starving, exhausting days!
