On Sunday 18th November 2018 I received the news that a kidney from a deceased donor was a match. Hours later the transplant took place. My blood results are incredible and the doctors have said my kidney function is as good as somebody with 2 kidneys.

Eternally grateful to the donor who took the time to sign up to the organ donor register. The hero I never met. Also thankful to the family he left behind  who were strong enough to think of others in their grief. 

I have decided to take part in this challenge to raise funds for Kidney Research.
