Story
🪂 A sky dive has always been on my bucket list, but being terrified of flying (more specifically hurtling to the ground if something went wrong!), I’ve been put off ever signing up to take part in one. When the opportunity came up to sign up and raise money for a chosen area at my local hospital, I couldn’t refuse any longer.
My choice was easy: raise money to help dementia patients. Dementia is the loss of cognitive functioning (thinking, remembering and reasoning) and behavioural abilities. It interferes with a person's daily life and activities, and some people with dementia cannot control their emotions and their personalities may change. Dementia not only affects the person, but their family also.
This is a very personal fundraiser. I do this for my Auntie Jean and her family.
I hope you will be able to give generously and support me as I launch myself from 15,000ft (out of a tiny, rickety aeroplane 😬), raising money to help my local hospital become more dementia-friendly, easing the anxiety and difficulties they may face when undergoing treatment. I’d love to raise £500, anything else is a bonus!
