Story
Thank you for popping onto my page!
As the UK's no1 heart charity, The British Heart Foundation has undergone 50 years of leading research and unquestionably changed the lives of so many through 'fighting for every heartbeat'.
Here is a little bit about my story...on the 18th May 2016 I went through a successful heart ablation operation. Having suffered over a number of years my symptoms became more frequent, preventing my ability to continue with sport and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
I was diagnosed with unmanageable supraventricular tachycardia and underwent surgery at Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital, the expertise, medical professionalism and support I experienced was second to none. I can thankfully say this operation has changed my quality of life for the better.
So here I am today, a year on it's time to give something back! I plan to take on a challenge over 19th-20th May 2017. Hopefully, (fingers crossed) I will complete the following :
- Saturday 19th May - Cycle, kayak and trek 37 km through Snowdonia
- Sunday 20th May - Cycle a Marathon around Lake Windermere
The British Heart Foundation and Cardiologist across the UK change peoples lives. Any donations, however small, will be really appreciated!
