Story

This March, 11 year old Katie will be swimming 5K to raise money for the GOSH Charity after hearing about the amazing work they do.  Having just completed her Honours award in swimming, she felt this event was an ideal one for her to give something back by raising awareness and collecting donations to help support young lives through very difficult and challenging times.

Katie has never done anything like this before and we were so proud that she wanted to help that I agreed to do it with her for moral support.  She is committed to swimming the 5km herself ( that’s 200 lengths in our local pool) and I have vowed to do the same. Tewkesbury Leisure Centre are being fantastic in supporting her in her challenge too.

Every day, more than 600 seriously ill children and young people from across the UK arrive at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses and conditions, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential.

We know that money is tighter than ever before but as the saying goes ‘every little helps’. Thank you for giving to such an incredibly deserving charity like GOSH.
