Sooo ... a little voice in my head is now SCREAMING - “What an earth are you doing?”
So - in March I promised myself I was going to become a new me. Lifestyle/diet etc etc (said it a few times before)
Forward 15 weeks and I have not had any alcohol, any naughty foods and for the past month moving more than I ever have.
Me with my “go hard or go home” attitude see the 10k for Special Effect, whom I am an ambassador for and thought to myself “I can do that”
About time I was the one fundraising and not sponsoring others for the hard work.

So new trainers and “running” gear were purchased, (all the gear no idea) - and I set a target of 5k daily. Which is going strong (the occasional blip) but getting stronger. 

I will NOT be running it like the rest of the guys in the 200 person team, a light jog and walk will be my thing. But for me, that is a lot. 

It will be hard work, there will be sweat and tears and most likely blisters. But I will do my best to do it. 

I’d appreciate any support you can give me to help the almighty Special Effect. 

The British 10K is SpecialEffect's longest standing fundraising event, and back in the day a hard core of games industry professionals made something of a name for themselves by completing the race dressed as their favourite video games characters - a tradition that has continued to this day!This year, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic social distancing measures, SpecialEffect have taken this event virtual! We'll be setting off at 9am on Sunday 5th July, on our own local routes with a post-race online meet-up. SpecialEffect are continuing to offer assessments, equipment loans and advice during the Covid-19 lockdown and appreciate your support more than ever!
