Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Team DKY is Debbie Deacon, Keith Fullick and Yvonne Schubert - and we have decided to tackle the London Half Marathon, Run to the Beat, on September 8th 2013 and raise some money for St Luke's Hospice in Basildon.

Next time you're out for a drive, measure 13.1 miles - it's quite a long way :-)

We are raising funds for St Luke's to help them continue providing their invaluable service.

A bit about St Luke's Hospice :

"St. Luke’s provides specialist care for people who have an advanced disease, as well as those who love and care for them, in a warm caring and friendly environment.

The Hospice is a registered charity serving Basildon and Thurrock local Authority districts. We make no charge to patients or their families for any of the services provided.

We commenced as a community project and are still sustained today by the community we serve.

Without the generosity of businesses, clubs, organisations and individuals we could not continue to provide a quality and much–needed care service."

Our goal is to raise £900+

It is difficult asking for support (again) in difficult economic times, and we know that we all get asked by many people to support a huge number of events and charities so if you can spare £1, £5 or £10 it will be very much appreciated and move us nearer to our target of helping St Luke's Hospice.
