SwimFor2k 2017 will involve a 2k swim per charity (4k in total). The charities in 2017 are; Marine Conservation Society UK and a charity yet to be named.

I am expecting to complete the full 4k swim at Charlton Lido in under 2 hours. The proposed date is October 2017. 

Given my swim distances in the past, this is a rather modest one, but I had a baby last year and so I would like to get back up to the big distances gradually and not over exert my body or organs.

I have chosen to support MCS as not only am I a member but I have been involved in marine conservation for many years. I am qualified in marine biology and understand the importance of our ecosystem. The MCS are fighting the war against over-fishing, the harm we cause the oceans everyday and are aiming to make as many eating establishments prepare their food with sustainable sources as possible.
