It all started back almost ten years ago when I qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2009 at Surf- City, Huntington Beach, CA.  I ran my first Boston, April 19, 2010.  It was extra special being my first Boston and having my Mom, Dad, and great friend Paul to share it with. Since Boston 2010, I've run it another four more times.(2011, 2012, 2015, 2018).

5 times total so far..... :):):) and counting. 

Charles joined me in 2015 & 2018 in Boston.  After the tremendous Boston Marathon STORM of 2018, "Swimming the Marathon". Charles said, "Why don't you run the rest of the World Majors?!".  That opened the door for amazing races around the world, Kelly goes International. I had already qualified and ran New York in 2010 and ran Chicago 3 times.  That left me with Tokyo, Berlin, and London.  We planned an amazing trip to Europe where I ran Berlin and had a great adventure.  On our last day of our European trip I got the email stating, I got into Tokyo for 2019!  I loved the race, culture and people of Japan.  Tokyo Marathon Accomplished!

I'm excited!  My final WORLD MAJOR MARATHON STAR, resides in LONDON, 2020. I did not make the lotto to enter.  London is known for nearly impossible entry to race unless you live in the UK. The only way in is to be selected though a Charity.  Please donate to Leonard Cheshire to support my bid for the 2020 London Marathon.

LEONARD CHESHIRE, (how apropos with the charity name, being my last name) is my Special charity of choice to raise funds. Leonard Cheshire empowers people with disabilities to live lives freely as they choose.  They support individuals to live, learn and work as independently as they choose, whatever their ability. 

Charles and I are VERY Excited and Happy to complete my last WORLD MAJOR and 6th Star on April 26, 2020 at the LONDON MARATHON!!  It sure means the world to me to have this philanthropy as my sixth star.  Your support will help it happen and make a difference in peoples lives.
