I originally planned to Run for the Dougie Mac Hospice if I gained a place into TCS London Marathon of my own accord via the Ballot system but when the ballot result came back I had not been successful for the 10th year running. So I turned to Dougie MacMillan to see if they I could apply for one of their  Gold Bond Charity places . I filled in the paperwork and had to wait for the answer. Whilst waiting for the result sadly my Mother-in law passed away and I was just willing the result to be a positive one so that I could raise funds for the charity and staff that had cared for Julie whilst she was in their care. Julie was always a supporter of my running and always took an interest in what I’d be doing as my next feat.  Doing the London  Marathon has always been a bucket list item for me and I now have the opportunity to do it thanks to Dougie Mac.as of today I will be doing the Double London Marathon Virtual and the Official London in April.  So Mum this one is for You .
