We fund research and provide support to improve blood cancer patients' lives

Story

On Thursday 13th September Ken Adams, Lee Batten and Ric Thornhill set off from Greenwich for their next epic adventure cycling to Paris, 350 miles over four days. Each day of this journey Ken, Lee and Ric will be encouraged by the fundraising efforts to stop 32 people dying from blood cancer in the UK every day.

Their journey will take then via Pas de Calais and the Somme, taking on the rolling hills of Northern France. From Abbeville to Beauvais before their arrival into Paris, cycling along the Champs Elysee arriving at the Eiffel Tower where the finish line awaits.

Training has been challenging as they're not getting any younger! Therefore this has taken massive dedication from Ken, Lee and Ric as they cycle relentlessly to rack up the miles in preparation. They have sore bottoms, aching limbs and the thought of being in the saddle for 8 hours each and every day is mind blowing but they are determined to take this punishment to raise money for such a worthy cause.
We are hoping you can help them raise the vital funds needed. Please dig deep, as your support will really help and will be very much appreciated.

The reason behind why this charity is so close to our hearts.

In November 2011, Rebecca was a 21 year old university student. After a visit to the doctors as she wasn’t feeling 100% and lacking in energy she was admitted straight to Hillingdon Hospital, where she was immediately admitted and diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (A.L.L) Following four cycles of chemotherapy, followed by radiotherapy and then a bone marrow transplant in May 2012. I’m pleased to say that Rebecca was given the all clear to return to university in September 2013 to complete her final year. She graduated in July 2014 and has been working as Primary School teacher ever since.

Rebecca and her family have fundraised tirelessly ever since and we are proud to support them.
