Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2010 Lewis, my partner Samantha's son was diagnosed with ALD and despite suffering a full adrenal shutdown and spending a long spell in intensive care at the Evelina Hospital he eventually went home looking healthier then he had before he went in. Unfortunately that was to be shortlived as the ALD started to progress in 2011 meaning he has spent a lot of time in and out of hospital throughout 2012. Normally a lively young lad this desease has now made him incapable of all the things we all take for granted. Lewis is currently being treated for various illnesses related to ALD in Kingston hospital and continually shows what a little fighter he is having recovered from Pneumonia and Septicemia in the past couple of months.
During March, April and June I will be running 3 seperate distance events to raise money for ALD Life:
March 24th - Cranleigh 21 - 21 Miles round the Surrey countryside
April 21st - Virgin London Marathon - Yes it's 26.2 Miles
June 8th & 9th - Endure 24 - Round the clock running in Wasing Park, Reading
For more information on the challenge I have set myself and to read up on my progress in my training blogs check out my website at www.stoniek.co.uk
