Kieran's 100km Challenge

London 2 Brighton Ultra Challenge 2024 · 25 May 2024 ·
Thank you for visiting my just giving page, this year i am taking on the London to Brighton 100km ultra challenge. That's the same distance as last year I hear you cry! This time though I will be upping the ante by hiking it through the day and night continously rather than over two days.
This year I am raising money for Alcohol Change and for anyone that knows me you will know how close this is to my heart having changed my own relationship with alcohol 3 years ago.
Stopping drinking changed everything for me but I done it of my own free will for myself to improve my health, where as many other people have other problems with the damage alcohol can cause.
This is probably one of the most important charity events I've done in terms of raising money for something that I'm so passionate about, and so once again I call upon your generosity to help me in this challenge! Your support never goes unoticed and i truly appreciate every single one of you 🧡
About Alcohol Change UK 80 people die, unavoidably, on average every day as a result of alcohol. Alcohol leads to mental health problems, liver disease, seven forms of cancer, economic difficulties, accidents and incidents, violence and so much more. Alcohol harm can affect any one of us, from any walk of life. The harm doesn't end with the individual; each of us who drinks too much is part of a family and a community who feel the effects too, whether through frequent use of emergency services, drink driving, violence or neglect. We are Alcohol Change UKWe work for a society that is free from the harm caused by alcohol. We are not anti-alcohol; we are for alcohol change. We are for a future in which people drink as a conscious choice, not by default; and where those of us who drink too much, and our loved ones, access high-quality support whenever we need it, without shame or stigma.
