Story
Now on to the second part of my fund raising efforts for Cancer Research as I take part in Wheels Of Steel 9 - see below...
100 Mile Bike Ride (Take 9) In Memory of Avril Townshend.:.
On the weekend of the 7th and 8th of July I along with a group of friends (40 approx.but still growing) will be taking part in a 100 mile bike ride in support of the Cancer Research UK Charity.
The event will coincide with the ninth anniversary of my Mum's death after a battle with an aggressive form of cancer. This event is something that is obviously very personal to me and is in support of an extremely worthwhile cause. Many of us have friends and family that have been affected by this terrible illness.
On the Saturday morning we will be setting off from the Deanery High School to pedal 50 miles to an overnight stay in Lancaster. On Sunday (presuming that everyone can still pedal!!) the group will be completing the last 50 miles of the journey as we return back to Wigan!! An event such as this takes a great deal of planning and time to organise but I am sure you will agree is more than worthwhile.
If I can do this one thing to raise some money and maybe help save someone's life then this is 100% worth it so please donate if you can, I'd really appreciate your support.
Thank You
Paul
