Story
My Auntie Janine was one in a million, the life of any party and the cause of any laughter. She was tragically diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2018 and after a long, brave fight she was given the all clear early 2019. Unfortunately this was not the end of her fight as she was then diagnosed with brain mets. Within a few weeks of being diagnosed she was then admitted to hospital with pneumonia. Janine was then moved to Myton Hospices where she spent the last few weeks of her life. The level of care and compassion shown by the staff at the hospice is second to none, the facilities and amazing approach by all working there was incredible. Myton Hospices not only cared for Janine but they cared for all of our family and nothing was ever too much for them. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for Janine to be treated and cared for in her final weeks and that is why we are abseiling down Coventry Cathedral in aid of The Myton Hospices to help them raise £35,000. This will help ensure The Myton Hospices can continue to provide their services free of charge to people with a terminal or life limit. Any donations made are truly appreciated.
