Story
On Saturday 23 August 2014 I threw myself into the very black and very
cold waters of Loch Lomond to help raise money for a a
great cause: Aspire - http://www.aspire.org.uk/
I managed to
come out the other side (relatively) unharmed and completed the mile course in
34 minutes 38 seconds, beating my target time.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported me and donated to Aspire - I couldn't (and most likely wouldn't!!) have done it without you.
Spinal Cord Injury has a devasting effect on 1,200 people who become paralysed each year. Through its project and programmes Aspire offers practical support to 40,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the UK so that they can lead fulfilled and independent lives in their homes – something which many of us take for granted.
If anyone would still like to donate there is still time for you to do so – either through JustGiving or by contacting me directly. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity.
