Exeter has a housing crisis and YMCA Exeter are tackling this by turning an abandoned warehouse near the city center into 26 self-contained studio apartments. These will be affordable, permanent homes for young people coming out of supported accommodation and ready for independence. Many of these young people have experienced upheaval in their lives and YMCA Exeter's hope is that by providing a safe place to call home, these young people can belong, contribute and thrive in their communities.
