Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a charity dedicated to supporting children & young people who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. A range of programmes are provided to support their bereavement needs, well-being, education and development.

different challanges  supporting Scotty’s little soldiers 


my first challange for Scotty’s little Soldiers on the 1st of August 2020 I will be doing 5 thousand miles in 500 days I will be doing 10 miles everyday walking running and cycling the challange will finish on the 14th of December 2021 

on the 14th of December 2021 I completed my first challange to support Scotty’s little Soldiers 5 thousand miles in 500 days on this challange I did 10 miles everyday I did mostly walking on this challange my challange started back on the 1st of August 2020 and I completed the challange on the 14th of December 2021 this challange was amazing we raised 5 pound from this challange  I have also set myself a bigger challange in 2022 to keep supporting Scotty’s little Soldiers thank you for everyone’s support 

on the 26th of October 2022 I will start my second challange to support Scotty’s little Soldiers my challange is 15 thousand miles in 1 thousand days I will be doing 15 miles everyday I would like to achieve to go past the target 15 thousand miles I will be mixing it up with walking running and cycling  this challange will start on the 26th of October 2022 and will finish on the 22nd of July 2025 i am really looking forward to this challange it’s going to be amazing can’t wait 


scotty’s little soldiers help to put a smile on children’s faces after they lose a parent or a member of a family when they are in the  forces it’s the hardest thing in the world to lose someone in the family they support them to get through it 


My name is Laura cartmill I am 33. years old I am partialy sighted I was born with a rare eye condition called Aniridia which means I have no iris in either eye which is  the coloured part of your eye  when I go out I use dark glasses to help with the lights and cloud with the eye condition eyes are very sensitive to any light and cloudy days  I also have autisim 

I completed my fa level 1  football coaching course and  I play disability football with tavistock specials ladies in the Devon ability counts league we play against different teams with all different disabilities and in 2022 I also coached with Tavistock specials ladies  it is a great way to socialise with others and have fun in  2021 I coached with the Tavistock specials league 2 team we are involved in the Devon ability counts league it is for everyone with all different disabilities we play against different teams and to have fun and enjoy themselves and a fantastic way to socialise with others I have been involved in disability football for 10 years before I was involved in disability football I didn’t talk to anyone since being involved in disability football my confidence has been built tremendously and to socialise with others anything is possible
