Myself, my niece Isla (8 years old) and my friend/colleague Jo Lyons are going to take part in St Michael's Hospice Virtual Moonlight and Memories Walk. We will be taking part in our own homes and gardens and walking the 12,533 steps, hoping to raise some sponsorship money at the same time. We (myself and Isla) will take part on Friday 8th May and Jo will take part from Friday 8th May and complete the 10k over a number of days.

Being the Fundraiser who normally organises this event for St Michael's Hospice, i always do the walk beforehand, for the risk assessment, but I never actually get to take part, so with the lock down due to Coronavirus i get the chance to take part and both my niece and Jo, very kindly agreed to take part too. Between us we want to try and raise as much money as we can for The Hospice, during these difficult times, to try to help minimise the financial loss they will be facing, due to cancelled events and closed shops.

I am helping to raise vital funds for St Michael's Hospice by doing their Moonlight and Memories Walk 2020 and raising sponsorship whilst doing so. Each year the Hospice needs to raise over £4.3 million towards the cost of running its services which include: the In-Patient Unit, Day Services, Hospice at Home, volunteer-led Hospice Neighbours, Bereavement Services and Night Sitting.
