Story
Hi All!
It's been a few years I wanted to find a way to raise funds for a cause I believed in. So now I am finally making my move. I came to know about the London2Brighton Challenge, taking place on the 25th/26th of May 2019.
The challenge will see me walking from London to Brighton, going up and down the English hills for 100km. If you are wondering how much that is....
...Well that's 300 times as tall as The Eiffel Tower
Or... 950 times as long as a Soccer Pitch
Or...10,000 times as long as a London bus
Or... 60,000,000 times as long as a Strand of Spaghetti
Finally...It's about 1/150 as long as The Diameter of Earth!!
So... Why do I want to do such a crazy thing?
I realise that I have been very lucky because I have always been healthy and had the opportunity pursue my dreams and objectives and do plenty of different things. As proof of that, from attending high school in Rome I ended up moving to London. Or, I went from working in the art market to the tech industry.
I also realise that not everybody is lucky as I have been. And, that there is plenty of people out there, my age and younger, who would like to act to see their dreams realised, but who actually just can't make it happen on their own.
That is why I like the mission of Make-a-Wish UK, and have decided to fundraise for them. They help these young people realise that, even in the worst conditions and when they think it is impossible, they actually can see their dreams realised too. Just with a little help.
So, if you share my ideal and like Make-a-Wish UK's mission too, here is your time to contribute. If you are wondering this: no, you don't necessarily have to walk 1/150 of the Diameter of the Earth.
But, you can contribute by donating. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Details are safe and money is sent directly to the charity.
Any donations are really, really appreciated. Any donations are important, as they are a piece of the puzzle to get to the end goal - make these young people's dream come true!
Thanks in advance for the help and support!

P.P.S If you don't see me from May 26th onwards....you know where I am, probably somewhere between London and Brighton

Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!
