So many people suffer from violence in the home. It is staggering. We all dream of a future where violence no longer exists. Your help will make a world of difference.

I began recording the Nothing But Trouble album while in a terribly abusive relationship myself. I have suffered black eyes, broken ribs, cut lips, and many bruises larger than a football on various parts of my body. I suffered in silence. I am an educated, highly motivated female. I felt ashamed that someone like me could not change these circumstances.

Because of this album, more notably, because of my producer, I found a tiny bit of self-worth still buried deep inside of me. With that, I found the courage and strength to leave that relationship and begin my life again. This album is a testament to that journey from there to here: From despair, self-doubt, and heartache - to joy, renewed confidence ... a return to innocence and a new-found ability to love again.

Helping others in similar circumstances has become my mission and has been the greatest of all healers. I receive letters everyday from women the world over who need help. I tell them my story and help them find a way out. But really, the greatest and deepest message is in the music. Because of the music, I was able to find purpose and meaning for having endured this kind of violence at all. I am truly saddened and deeply concerned that there are so many women and girls out there TODAY - still suffering, every minute of every day. It has to stop.

I dedicate the Nothing But Trouble album to making violence - in all forms - a thing of the past. Help make violence history. We are all human. We are all connected. When one of us suffers, we are all affected.

With the money raised I can build a Healing Center on the Mediterranean Coast for women who need just that - to be healed and made stronger again so that they can return to life having found purpose and meaning for what has happened to them and go on to educate others - particularly their own children - that violence is absolutely wrong.
