Story

On the 28th of April I will be joining my bestie Hannah for our second kiltwalk.

This year I have chosen to walk for Shout, as I feel that immediate free access to mental health support is important. Having my own mental health struggles as well as supporting some of the people I love most through the nightmare that anxiety and depression can be, this cause is incredibly important to me. Shout in particular helped someone close to me through a very dark time and I cant thank them enough for that.

So after a year that has taken a chunk out of me both physically and mentally, I have decided to take on my first big post-op physical challenge, and walk 14. 2 miles, 22 weeks post major hip surgery, to show you can't keep this mentally fragile, wonky but stubborn girl down! ❤️

Shout is the UK's only free, confidential and 24/7 text messaging service for anyone struggling to cope with their mental health. Every 60 seconds, someone reaches out for support and has a conversation that could save their life.£10 can pay for a conversation with someone in crisis £25 can fund a clinician to provide expert supervision of conversations on Shout's digital mental health platform.£250 can train a new Shout Volunteer to take life-saving conversations.
