Story
In December 2017 my first patch of alopecia was found. Brought on by stress, it caused my hair to fall out. As an actress a lot of my work comes based on my look and my hair is a big part of my brand image. I was scared that losing my hair meant I wouldn't get work anymore, which caused more stress, which caused more patches. I thought I would have to give up on my dream as I wouldn't be 'hireable'.
Then I realised there is more to life than hair.
There is more to life than the way you look. It is your actions, the way you treat people and the lives you touch that create the lasting impression.
On the 14th of March I will be getting my lions mane trimmed into a curly chin length bob and would love to do it in honour of those young people who lose their hair due to their bravery and courage. I wanted to get it made into a wig but unfortunately they don't use my hair type so raising money for different resources and services was the closest option.
Please share my story and do get in touch as we are all in this one life together and need to look after each other no matter what.
