My name is Laurence and I am 12. I am autistic and whilst I generally don't write poetry, I was inspired by the current crisis to express my feelings.

I have sent my poem to various MPs to try and lobby the government to do more. Today I attended a procession to show solidarity to the people of Ukraine and showed my poem to The Mayor and to The Duke of Northumberland. 

I hope the poem brings hope to people who are affected by what is happening and that they know that we care.
