Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Anyone who knows me will know that I've been pretty much allergic to exercise my whole life. The last few years have taught me how important physical fitness is for mental wellbeing and I embarked on "Couch to 5K" in a bid to feel better. I'm under no illusions that this will be a monumental challenge but I am a very determined person and need a goal to work towards.

I am a Wheelchair Therapist. I assess posture and mobility then prescribe wheelchairs and postural seating. I see a lot of people who have spinal cord injuries and I am grateful to be able to be a part of their journey and help to provide mobility so they can get on and lead fulfilling lives. Mobility is a Human Right and even once people have their wheelchair, they still need support to navigate the rest of their journey. This is why I chose to support Backup Trust; they provide wheelchair skills training and support to people and families affected by spinal cord injury.

Thank you for supporting me to take on a huge challenge and thank you for supporting the Backup Trust to continue their amazing work!
