Story
When I was 25 I was diagnosed with Chronic Myloed Leukaemia. This is a chronic cancer which means that it is treated rather than 'cured'.
In the past 10 years I've spent two weeks in hospital, had two bone marrow biopsies, two blood transfusions, approx 60 blood tests and taken roughly 14,000 doses of Tasigna, a medication that stops the growth of my form of Leukaemia.
It was my 10 year 'Cancerversary' in September 2025 and will be the 10 year anniversary of when I first went into 'remission' this May. Help me celebrate by ensuring that I, and many others, continue to survive cancer!
Relay For Life celebrates the power of community fundraising to make breakthroughs happen. Across the UK and the globe, teams of friends, families and colleagues fundraise for world-leading research to save and improve lives, then unite at an event to honour everyone affected by cancer and celebrate the progress we’re making to beat it.
