Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Please support me and the charity, I'm not a runner and I'm starting to think that last years parachute jump was the much easier option. No training, no pain, fear is definately much easier to overcome than the last 2 miles of training...!!!
SO... This year I have entered not ONE but TWO charity races! I will be running The British 10km Run in July followed by Run to the Beat Half Marathon 6 days after my 30th birthday in September.
I have witnessed the fantastic work of the RAINBOW TRUST and visited one of their two respite homes. My Aunty has worked for the charity and I know that the money will but put to the best possible use and help terminally ill children whose families have little or no other support. Their work is phenomenal making a huge difference to the lives of terminally ill children as well as the parents and any siblings. Check out their website www.rainbowtrust.org.uk for more information.
The Official ASICS British 10K London Run attracts runners from all over the world, including current Olympic and World champions running shoulder to shoulder with charity fun runners and fitness enthusiasts helping to make the day into the great national and international event it has become!
Run to the Beat is the NEW London half marathon with a difference! In its 2nd year, the 2009 event promises to be even bigger, better and more exciting, a great alternative to The London Marathon. Run to the Beat is the only half marathon of its kind that plays live music around the course. It starts and finishes at the O2 Arena and takes runners 13 miles around Greenwich. With 16 specially designed music and DJ stations along the way.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Rainbow Trust Children's Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
