What your Here at Lawntech we've all been saddened by the recent events in Ukraine and the story of the children who local charity, Hope and Homes for Children, support has touched our hearts.  We are very thankful to all of our customers who supported our campaign this spring.  We are now hoping to add to our total for Hope and Homes for Children Winter Crisis Appeal.

The story behind the fundraising appeal

Born out of the Balkans conflict, Hope and Homes for Children has championed the vital importance of family and community-based care of children. The charity has teams are on the ground in Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania to ensure this war does not rob children of the love and protection they need now more than ever.

Bitter winter temperatures and rising costs of food and fuel are pushing families to crisis point across war-torn Ukraine, and neighbouring Moldova and Romania.

When crisis strikes, the risk of children being placed in orphanages is dangerously high. At a time when they most need comfort, children are cut off from their only source of hope, of attention, of love. Without urgent humanitarian support, families are at risk of being torn apart. 

Your donation can fund:

• £15 could provide educational and play materials for a pre-school aged child
  visiting a mobile support centre.
• £25 could provide a hygiene kit, including soap, shampoo, and sanitary pads for one
  family for one month.
• £32 could provide four emergency food packs, for a family, whilst we help them find
  their feet and stay together.

This Christmas, help us protect families and keep them together — through war, through winter and beyond.
