Story
Hello, thanks for visiting my page!
I plan to walk the Pennine way in June this year with my trusted companion Millie the dog. This walk covers 268 miles in total and I hope to complete it in around 3 weeks, I leave from Edale in Derbyshire and head to Kirk Yetholm in Scotland.
This walk is something I have wanted to do for some time now and I'm hugely excited. Ive been lucky enough to find a great support team and finally I'm all set to go.
It's going to be fun but a huge challenge and very physically demanding.
As it's such a big challenge I've chosen to do it in aid of the guide dogs trust. This charity provides mobility and freedom to blind and partially sighted people and they also campaign for the rights of people with visual impairment, educate the public about eye care and fund eye disease research. They have been expertly breeding and training guide dogs for more than 75 years, providing many thousands to blind and partially-sighted people of all ages and from all walks of life. As well as this they also deliver confidence-building rehabilitation services to adults, young people and children which includes long cane mobility training and communication and daily living skills.
I'm passionate about fundraising for this charity and any donation you can give to help me reach my target would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks again
Lawrence and Millie
