LBDI 2022 · 17 October 2022 to 21 October 2022 ·
Welcome to the fundraising page for Melissa Allen, Keeli Brantl, Erin Northey and Lauren Zimman, four of the founding members of the Little Black Dress Initiative, now in its 10th year!
This year we will again be wearing the LBDI badge to bring awareness to poverty in London and raise funds for the mission and work of the Junior League of London. The Junior League is an international organisation of more than 125,000 women whose mission is to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training; and our focus area here in London is fighting the effects of poverty in our capital.
LBDI is a social media advocacy campaign, anchored in London Challenge Poverty Week, and the need for help is greater than ever. Poverty is deeply rooted in the UK, and millions of families are struggling through financial hardship. In London, research indicates that women and children are the most vulnerable groups and disproportionately impacted by the cost of living crisis. Throughout the week our members will be focusing on the little initiatives that have a big impact by sharing insights on social media about poverty and our work to fight it, and donating interview clothes to our clothing drive helping unemployed women find jobs.
Since our first campaign, the Junior League of London's LBDI has raised £180,000 to benefit local the League's community outreach and volunteer training programs. Thank you again for your support for this campaign! Together we can make a difference for London!
