Story
Original campaigners from the first LBDI have reunited to wear the LBDI badge again this year to bring awareness to poverty in London and raise money for the mission of the Junior League of London. The Junior League of London is an organisation of women whose mission is to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
LBDI is a social media advocacy campaign, anchored in London Challenge Poverty Week, and the need for help is greater than ever. Poverty is deeply rooted in the UK, and millions of families are struggling through financial hardship.
We are focusing on the little initiatives that have a big impact this week - posting poverty facts, volunteering with our community partners and donating clothes in our clothing drive.
Since its inception, the Junior League of London's LBDI has raised over £180,000 to benefit local community partners and the Leagues outreach and volunteer training programs.
