Story
In 2019, out of the blue, my younger brother suffered a Brain Haemorrhage. He was taken to the Neurology Department at Southampton Hospital where he had to undergo life saving surgery.
Thanks to the amazing staff and the care provided, he was able to make a full recovery.
As a thank you, myself and Tom have decided to challenge ourselves and complete an Ironman distance triathlon.
Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, the event in Sweden that we had signed up for has been cancelled once again. We did manage to get a place in Ironman Wales for September but that one has also been cancelled!
We will now be planning our own routes and completing the distances off our own backs on Saturday 25th September. I will post the routes as soon as we know them, any support along the way will be more than welcome!
An Ironman consists of a 3.8km swim, 180km cycle with a 42km run to finish. We will be training between 12-20 hours per week
All money raised will go directly to the Neurology Department at Southampton Hospital to help them continue the amazing work that they do every day
