Story
Neuroendocrine Cancer UK is a charity very close to our hearts following John’s diagnosis with a Neuroendocrine tumour in 2009.
It is a cancer often hard to diagnose and in John’s case it took five months. However, after two very complex operations and chemotherapy, John’s story eventually ended up a positive one, but for so many it’s a very different outcome.
Neuroendocrine Cancer is deemed a rare cancer, although it affects more than 36,000 people a year in the UK, can occur in people of any age or gender and can develop in many places throughout the body.
The purpose of the small team at Neuroendocrine Cancer UK is to support and inform patients and families from diagnosis, enabling access to the best care and treatment, whilst stimulating Neuroendocrine Cancer research, increasing national awareness and influencing improvements in outcomes.
Each donation we receive will help us to continue supporting the Neuroendocrine Cancer community and will help us towards our vision of a world in which people know how to recognise, diagnose, treat, care for and ultimately cure patients with a Neuroendocrine Cancer.
Thank you so much for your support.
