Lake District 6 Peaks Challenge · 16 September 2017

Robes provide volunteer led night shelters during the coldest of months in Southwark and Lambeth, working with our guests to aid access to longer term accommodation. We provide tenancy sustainment floating support to prevent repeat homelessness, & year round day services through our Wednesday Club.

Story

An intrepid group of 21 Lee & Thompson staff are taking on the Lake District 6 Peaks Challenge  on Saturday 16 September in support of the Robes Project charity. Not for the faint-hearted, we will be traversing the Buttermere Horseshoe in a single day -- that is 14 miles with an overall ascent of about 5,800 feet (that's almost like climbing Mount Snowdon twice from sea level) stringing together 6 summits which curves around the head of the beautiful Buttermere valley. It will take a us an estimated 10-12 hours and untold amounts of blood, sweat and tears.

So it seemed like the perfect excuse to rustle up some sponsorship for Lee & Thompson's nominated charity for 2017, the Robes Project! This is a grassroots charity providing shelter, advice and warmth over the cold winter months to the homeless in South London. Please donate now to help us support this very deserving cause.
